It was a Saturday. We sat in my living room, playing video games, and drinking cheap alcohol. Your laughter filled the room, and it filled me warmth. I turned to you, you were focused on the television screen, completely unaware of anything else. It was in that moment, surrounded by your laughter, that I was thankful that I hadn’t killed myself six months earlier.
